About us
New Life Missionary Baptist Church was established September 1, 2013 by Reverend Alonzo Sykes.
Pastor Alonzo Sykes has been in ministry for 23 years and pastor of New Life MB Church for 3 years. He has also
served as chair for the education committee, home missions and dean for the North Mount Olivet District Association. He is an alderman in the city of Aberdeen, Ward 1. He is also the former vice mayor and has served as commissioner to the fire department and education.
He has been married to his wife Josephine for 39 years and they have four children and six grandchildren.
Pastor Sykes is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He attended Mary Holmes College and Ministerial Institute and College both in West Point, MS. He is a member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity (Eta Xi Chapter). Most of all, pastor Sykes is a man of God.
